This was my first time eating here and I love right down the street. This was the best food I have had in the area. The steak was little butter, the sauces were unique with flavor. You could tell that everything was seasoned well. I am picky. I worked in restaurants. I don't like going out to eat, but I will 100% being ordering here again.

First-time celebrating my husband's birthday here, and we were so pleasantly surprised by the beautiful interior and the lovely golf course view! The food was delicious, and the prices were just right. Our server, Melissa, was absolutely amazing – so attentive and checked in on us frequently. We had such a great experience, we'll definitely be back!

This was my very first time here. I have ZERO complaints! My biggest downfall was forgetting to take a picture of our food when it came before we devoured it! I got the grilled chicken sandwich with the garlic parm fries and a side of ranch (ranch is 10/10), he got the lamb burger with a side of the broccoli cheddar soup. All was perfect! Our server Lili was amazing! She didn't constantly bother us. She checked on us at every perfect time!! Her recommendations were spot on as well! Overall it made my first time here so enjoyable! The place inside is absolutely beautiful! Very clean and inviting environment. Outside looks absolutely amazing and very well kept! I look forward to returning this summer to check out some events they host and to see some bands play! Also it's also a huge plus when the bathrooms are very clean and private!! 10/10 for the bathrooms alone!

I ordered the patty melt sandwich cooked medium rare - it was perfect and delicious. However, I opted for broccoli as my side and it came absolutely drenched in oil. So much so the broccoli was very soggy and the oil had seeped thru the box of food. It was literally drowning in oil and was a big mess. There is absolutely no need for that much oil - a light drizzle of oil would be sufficient. This isn’t the first time I’ve eaten here but, is the first time I’ve not enjoyed my entire meal. In the past five or six years that I’ve lived out here I’ve dined in/ordered out from McWethy’s over fifteen times without issue. I very much enjoy this place and will write off this one bad experience. That being said, I’ll list a few of my favorites… I highly recommend the French onion soup, the Cobb salad, cheese curds, spinach artichoke dip and the house burger. You haven’t lived until you’ve had their crab cake! I swear it’s one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever tasted - very fresh tasting with big chunks of crab meat. I had the best butternut squash ravioli with brown butter sage sauce here probably four years ago and have been religiously stalking the menu for it since - sadly it hasn’t reappeared. Please bring it back! Also, during summertime, you must request seating out on their balcony patio! It has a very charming and relaxing aesthetic.

Our party of twelve dining experience on Saturday 4.18.26 at McWethys in Romeoville Illinois featured a curated selection of expertly prepared appetizers and entrées, including crispy Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and hearty, flavorful iterations of Chicken and Rice and Steak Ranchero soups. Their 20-piece wing selection was characterized by an ideal textural contrast—a perfectly crisp exterior yielding to a succulent interior. Other meals included Fish and Chips, Reuben sandwiches and of couser an American Burger! The beverage service was equally refined, showcasing balanced Whiskey Sours and a Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked Old Fashioned (recommended by Logan), both presented with exceptional smoothness and warmth. The culinary artistry displayed by Chef Dan and the innovative craft of the mixologist provided an exemplary dining experience. Furthermore, the attentive and sophisticated service provided by Logan served as a cornerstone of the evening, demonstrating a superior level of hospitality and commitment to guest satisfaction. Meals and drnks of today are highly recommended!

First time here. Chef came out to greet several customers, very friendly. Bartender was awesome, talented with cocktails. Their espresso martini is exactly what you expect with real espresso! They have a homemade blueberry lemonade/gin cocktail that's fantastic. A new special Hungarian chicken with dumplings. This is farm to table place, excellent. Recommend!!

We had another wonderful experience here last night! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered cheese curd as an appetizer, My daughter ordered the Italian beef sandwich, and I had the brazino the fish was cooked to perfection. Special thanks to our server, Ryan. He is always smiling, attentive, and detail-oriented, making sure everything is just right. We’ve never had a bad experience here, and last night was no exception. We’ll definitely be back! McWenthy’s Tavern absolutely nailed their Food and Flick experience! A group of friends and I met up for their screening of Hocus Pocus, and from start to finish it was pure, witchy fun. It was the perfect mix of nostalgia, great food, and quality time with people I love catching up with. The themed menu was such a creative touch—each dish tied cleverly into iconic moments from the movie. It made ordering feel like part of the adventure, and everything we tried was delicious. A few of us even came dressed in movie-inspired attire, which only added to the charm. McWenthy’s thought of everything, including a special Hocus Pocus photo backdrop, and of course we had a mini photoshoot afterward. Too good to pass up! Even though the event was sold out, it never felt crowded or overwhelming. The vibe was lively without being loud, and the staff was prompt, courteous, and impressively organized, keeping everything running smoothly so we could fully enjoy the night. And here’s the biggest tip: book this experience fast. These Food and Flick events are known to sell out within an hour of being posted. They’re that good. Overall, McWenthy’s Tavern delivered a magical, memorable evening. If you ever get the chance to attend one of their themed Food and Flick nights—GO. It’s the perfect blend of great food, great friends, and great entertainment. I already can’t wait for the next one!

We had a wonderful lunch today at McWethy's Tavern. The sweet chili glazed caulilower was a great start. I had the taven cuban sandwich and my wife had the turkey jobarito both were fantastic. We always love the chips. The view today from the dining room was amazing.
